The Masked Singer spoilers follow.
In a change to the usual proceedings, The Masked Singer's temporary host Niecy Nash announced that she would be the one to decide who would be leaving the competition.
After reviewing the performances of Black Swan, Bulldog, Piglet, Crab and Chameleon, Nash sent Bulldog home with their tail between their legs – despite them dedicating their rendition of New Edition's 'Candy Girl' to her.
The drama didn't stop there, though, as Bulldog was later unmasked as the series' regular host Nick Cannon, who had taken time away from the show after testing positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).
Talking about his experience, Nick said: "Honestly, I have a whole new respect for all of our masked crusaders. Being on the other side of it? Wow, is all I can say."
Speaking of his new-found admiration for the stars behind the masks, Nick added: "First of all, the contestants have no control over anything. I feel their pain. I know what they're going through.
"I always thought I knew... but until you actually get in there and you're drenched in sweat, and can't wipe your eyes, while still having to give the best performance you possibly can. [It's] crazy."
The Masked Singer US airs on Fox, while its UK equivalent airs on ITV.
