Last night's (July 22) episode brought the drama as Hugo decided to partner with Chloe after she was dumped by Toby Aromolaran for Abigail Rawlings… which made Toby less-than-popular.
Before picking Chloe, Hugo made a passionate speech in defence of her, declaring: "If I'm completely honest, she doesn't deserve to be treated how she has been these past 24 hours, and I firmly believe that a lot of this 'test' stuff is complete bullshit.
"You deserve someone who's honest and communicates with you," he continued, before announcing: "So the girl I would like to couple up with is... Chloe."
Georgia was dumped from the island following the recoupling, having only arrived in the villa a few days ago, though she reckons that Hugo's connection may go deeper with his new partner.
"I'm not sure why there wasn't a spark," she said in her post-exit interview. "I think he holds a candle for Lucinda and Chloe…
"I think perhaps unless he's honest with himself and really goes for that, he's not going to even explore other options and he just wants to protect his friends and make sure they're ok, which isn't a bad thing, it's just obviously in this instance it's at my expense.
"Maybe he doesn't really know what he's looking for," she added.
