The Masked Dancer is the dancing-themed spin-off to The Masked Singer, airing on ITV this coming weekend.
You might be wondering how anyone is supposed to guess who the dancers are when they are in such elaborate costumes, but host Joel Dommett has teased that not only will the show make sense, but it has one of the biggest reveals the Masked franchise has seen so far.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, the star admitted his own initial reservations about the series, saying: "It's such a ridiculous notion, the whole show is so stupid, but that's what makes it brilliant.
"When I heard about it, my first reaction was the same as everybody else's: 'How is this going to work?!' I had reservations. Then we started filming it and I realised there's something completely joyous about it. It's so wonderful."
Dommett continued: "My assumption with The Masked Dancer was that the names would be lesser than The Masked Singer. But I can honestly tell you the names are equal to, if not better.
"There are some amazing reveals. One in particular completely took us all by surprise. You just wouldn't expect someone like this to do the show. It's the biggest reaction we've had."
Joel also said that Oti Mabuse slotted into the judging panel very easily, but added that there is no way she will rope him into taking part in Strictly Come Dancing as he definitely hasn't got the talent for it (which we think is often meant to be the point).
The Masked Dancer will air this Saturday, May 29 at 7pm on ITV. Episodes will continue to air nightly across the following week, except Wednesday, June 2.
