Strictly's Oti Mabuse responds to rumours she's leaving the show

"But it is nice to be spoken about… right?"

Oti Mabuse has responded to claims she's leaving Strictly Come Dancing.

The professional dancer has been part of the show since 2015, and recently landed a role on the judging panel of ITV show The Masked Dancer.

Appearing on Steph's Packed Lunch, she was asked whether she would be back as a pro on the BBC this year.

"Ahh! Do you know what, some of these conversations obviously I have never been a part of – they are above my pay grade," Oti responded.

"I can't say yes as to whether I'm going back or not. So, everybody will have to wait and see to find out what is going on. But it is nice to be spoken about… right?"

Steph McGovern added that there have been articles about Oti, saying shows are fighting to sign her.

"Yes, according to that article! I'm a little dot. These are big shows!" she responded.

Oti will be joining Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan on the Masked Singer spin-off show, set to air on ITV later this year.

Alongside Strictly, she also served as a dance captain on The Greatest Dancer, alongside Cheryl, Matthew Morrison and later Todrick Hall.

She won the most recent series of Strictly with comedian Bill Bailey.

The duo taking home the glitterball trophy caused Oti to make Strictly history as she also won the 2019 series with Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher, making her the only pro to win back to back series.

Steph’s Packed Lunch airs weekdays at 12.30pm on Channel 4.
