Married at First Sight – which is arguably an even more bonkers wedding concept than Don't Tell The Bride – is going back to Australia.
Relationship psychologist John Aiken, neuropsychotherapist Trisha Stratford, and dating expert and psychologist Mel Schilling will be setting up 11 couples, but will they all make it down the aisle?
For those not in the know, Married at First Sight follows a group of total strangers who are paired up by a panel of expert matchmakers. The first day the 11 new couples meet is on their wedding day, which is, of course, a totally stress-free way to start a marriage.
Each couple then goes on honeymoon, meets the in-laws and move in together, later deciding if they will continue their relationship or go their separate ways.
However, so far, the UK series hasn't been particularly successful. Over the four seasons, all of the couples have split.
It's a great experiment to discover whether science really can predict your perfect partner, but it seems like it just can't get the chemistry right.
But you never know, this upcoming series could see a perfect match walk down the aisle together and have their happy ending, instead of straight to the divorce courts...
Married at First Sight Australia season 5 will premiere on E4 on August 10 at 7.30pm.
