Netflix releases Army of the Dead 'Vader Cut' spin-off

The universe continues to grow.

Netflix has already added more to its Army of the Dead extended universe with a new spin-off from YouTuber King Vader.

Army of the Dead: The Vader Cut is a 21-minute recreation of the zombie hit by the popular YouTuber, which has just landed on Netflix's YouTube channel.

It's the third in King Vader's Netflix Dreams series, which has previously seen him recreate The Umbrella Academy and Cobra Kai.

Earlier this month, Netflix released another Army of the Dead spin-off on YouTube – Guzman of the Dead 420.

The spin-off featured Mikey Guzman (Raúl Castillo) from the original film, filming some zombie kills in Las Vegas for his YouTube channel.

But that's not all that's in store for Army of the Dead fans, as the universe will be continuing to expand.

Director Zack Snyder recently signed a deal with Netflix to create a prequel film and animated series, which is apparently going to be an anime (or at least anime-styled, similar to Castlevania).

He commented: "I'm incredibly excited for the opportunity to partner with Netflix again as we expand the Army of the Dead universe with both an international prequel, as well as exploring the visually dynamic world of animation.

"It's been a great collaboration and we are thrilled that Netflix sees this as big of an IP as we do."

Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead is streaming on Netflix now.
